Leek Town sign National League North midfielder

Leek Town have announced the signing of Rushall Olympic midfielder Hayden Campbell.

Campbell joined the Pics over the summer, having previously spent time at Curzon Ashton and Marine.

He made 25 appearances for Curzon last season, scoring twice and featuring in their play-off semi-final defeat to Chorley.

The ball-playing midfielder spent the early years of his footballing career at Port Vale, joining the club at academy level and enjoying over 10 years at the club.

A move to Salford City followed in 2020, and it was there that Campbell made his professional debut for the Ammies in an EFL Trophy victory over Rochdale.

He joins a Leek side currently 15th in the Northern Premier League.

Campbell made his debut for the Blues on Tuesday night, playing 30 minutes as a substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Warrington Rylands.
