Lancaster City dealt serious injury blow
Lancaster City have confirmed that they will be without forward Nic Evangelinos for up to three months.
Evangelinos will be sidelined after breaking his leg in their 2-0 Bank Holiday Monday win at Atherton Collieries.
He scored from the penalty spot midway through the second half to seal the points but was substituted later in the game after colliding heavily with Colls goalkeeper Nico Defreitas-Hansen.
X-ray scans have since confirmed Evangelinos has suffered a fractured fibula.
The former Workington striker first joined the club in June 2022 and brought his goalscoring prowess to the Giant Axe, scoring 11 goals in 43 games last season - more than any other team-mate.
In 2023/24, his early-season form has helped the Dolly Blues enjoy a positive start to the new Northern Premier League season.
So far, they have picked up 11 points from their opening six matches.
Mark Fell's side are next in action on Saturday as they host Witton Albion in FA Cup first round qualifying.
