Jamie Milligan leaves Bamber Bridge after seven years in charge
Bamber Bridge have confirmed the departure of manager Jamie Milligan after seven years in charge.
Milligan has made the decision to step away from the role, with the club saying that their former boss "feels he has taken the club as far as he can and believes that now is the right time to step aside".
Boasting a long association with the club as a player, coach and manager, Milligan first took the reins in December 2019.
The highlight of his time in charge came during the 2022/23 season when the club finished third in the NPL Premier Division, their highest league finish since the 1990s.
In that same season, they reached the play-off final but fell to a late defeat at Warrington Town.
"Throughout his years at Irongate, Jamie has shown tremendous loyalty, passion and commitment to Bamber Bridge," a club statement read.
"His contribution, both on and off the pitch, has been significant, and his dedication to the club and its supporters will never be forgotten.
"The club fully respects Jamie’s decision and would like to place on record its sincere gratitude for everything he has given to Bamber Bridge over so many years.
"Jamie will always be part of the Bamber Bridge family, and the door at Irongate will always be open to him."
The Brig sit 20th in the NPL Premier Division table and are next in action away at Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday 31 October.
