Jake Askew joins Frickley Athletic
Goalkeeper Jake Askew has signed with Frickley Athletic ahead of the Pitching In Northern Premier League 2021/22 season.
Askew started playing football at Rotherham Centre of Excellence, while going on to enjoy a spell in America for the University of Jamestown, captaining the side in his final year.
He also played for Little Rock Rangers in the fourth division of US soccer in 2019, and returned to England with Heanor Town for a short period and then signed for Long Eaton United.
Askew said: "My hopes for this season are to win promotion for the club. We definitely have enough talent to do this and this would achieve a personal goal of mine to progress up the steps.
“I can’t wait for pre-season to begin, meet all the lads and the people at the club and start winning football matches and hopefully keeping clean sheets."
