Jack Goodwin makes Prescot Cables return

Goodwin made 92 appearances in his first stint at Cables, scoring 22 times in all competitions.

He was also a key figure in their promotion to the Northern Premier League’s top division last season, featuring 33 times in the league and starting both the play-off semi-final and final.

He departed over the summer to join Marine in the National League North, where he made seven appearances.

However, his only start came in a 3-0 defeat to Farsley Celtic.

Goodwin's arrival boosts a Cables side who are in good league form, winning their last two games 1-0.

They’ll be looking to make it three in a row on September 10 against Bamber Bridge, with Goodwin in contention to make his second debut.
