International call-ups for Hednesford Town duo
Hednesford Town have announced that Xander Parke and Omari Sterling-James have been called up to the St Kitts and Nevis senior men’s national team.
The Sugar Boyz will compete at the 2026 FIFA Series in Jakarta, Indonesia during the next international window later this month.
St Kitts and Nevis, who are currently ranked 154th in the world, will face hosts Indonesia on March 27, then either Bulgaria or the Solomon Islands on March 31.
As a result of their international selection, the duo will be unavailable for promotion-chasing Hednesford's trip to Workington on Saturday 28 March.
On their call-up, a Hednesford statement read: "Everyone at the club is delighted for Xander and Omari and wishes them the very best with the national team.
"We look forward to welcoming them back in April, back in a Pitmen shirt."
Sterling-James joined Hednesford earlier this year from National League North side Hereford, going on to score twice in eight appearances.
Meanwhile, young goalkeeper Parke arrived from Leek Town back in October and has featured once as a substitute.
