In-form Aldrich pens new Sheffield deal
Sheffield striker Luke Aldrich has agreed a new deal, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the season.
The towering forward first joined the club from NPL East Division rivals Ossett United at the start of 2023.
However, he has endured an injury-disrupted start to his time at Sheffield, making just 29 appearances during his first 18 months at the club, scoring seven times.
Aldrich faced an eight-month injury lay-off last season but has started the current campaign in fine form, scoring five goals in 11 games for the world's first football club.
However, Sheffield remain the only club in the division yet to have won a league game this season.
They are next in action on Saturday at home to Bridlington Town - another of the sides currently occupying a relegation spot.
Sheffield's squad has been bolstered further ahead of that game, with Matlock Town defender Mason Booth joining the club in time to feature.
