Hyde United bring in familiar face
Hyde United have signed goalkeeper Dan Atherton from National League North side Warrington Town on dual-registration.
Atherton is no stranger to the Tigers, having made 34 appearances for the club last season as they narrowly missed out on a play-off spot.
The former Liverpool shop-stopper returned to the Yellows for his second spell over the summer. He previously made 49 appearances for the club in 2021/22, playing in every league match.
However, Atherton has yet to feature competitively since re-joining the Yellows, with regular number one Tony Thompson keeping three clean sheets in four league matches so far.
The 23-year-old could make his second Hyde debut when they welcome Marine to the Project Solar Stadium on Tuesday night.
