Hornets sign well-travelled defender
Defender James Paylor has joined Hebburn Town.
The Pitching In NPL East Division side have swooped to acquire the services of the towering 6’5 centre-back, who joins the club following several years playing in the USA and Australia.
Paylor is also comfortable operating at left-back and will add versatility to the Hornets squad.
Last season he represented Mandurah City in Western Australia, though he has previous Northern League experience with Tow Law Town.
After gaining international clearance, he will be eligible to make his debut on Saturday against Long Eaton United.
"He's a big lad and left footed," said manager Daniel Moore. "He'll bring extra depth to the squad which we need - we've gotten through the last few weeks with only 15 or so senior players.
"He doesn't want to be a squad player. He wants to play regularly, and competition for places will be great."
