Hednesford Town announce new management team

Hurren joins the Pitmen from Stratford Town, where he had been in charge for two seasons, leading them to the brink of the play-offs in his inaugural campaign.

The 39-year-old, who featured for the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Mansfield Town and Crawley Town during his playing days, enjoyed a brief spell with Hednesford Town towards the back end of his career.

Joining him in the dugout as his assistant manager is Lee Vaughan, a former Tranmere Rovers and Cheltenham Town player who made over 600 appearances throughout his career.

On taking up the reins at the Hednesford Town, Hurren said: "Hednesford Town is a club with a proud history and an incredible fanbase. I would like to thank Craig, Amanda and the Directors for giving me this opportunity, I am excited to now lead this team into a new era.

"With Lee and my backroom staff we have the expertise, passion, and drive to succeed at this level and beyond.
