Heaton Stannington midfielder makes Ashington switch

Ellison, 34, joined the Stan before the start of the 2024/25 season, making 19 appearances in all competitions.

The midfielder veteran began his career at West Auckland Town in 2011, and went on to feature for the likes of Darlington, Spennymoor Town, Crook Town and Whitley Bay.

He also enjoyed two long-term spells at Northern League side Shildon AFC, and made over 150 appearances before departing the club in 2019.

Ellison will go into contention to make his debut for Ashington in Saturday's fixture at home to Ossett United in the Northern Premier League.
