Harborough Town buzzing with latest addition

Harborough Town have announced the return of a familiar face, in the shape of former Brackley Town man Jordon Crawford.

Crawford is no stranger to the club, having first played for the Bees when he was just 17 years of age.

The midfielder went on to play for Kettering, Peterborough Sports, Boston United and more recent Brackley, all in the National League North.

Crawford brings a wealth of experience from Step 2 with him and is still just 26.

Manager Mitch Austin said: “I am absolutely delighted to get Jordon signed back at the club.

"We did try and get him in pre-season when he left Boston United, but he decided he still wanted to go and play at the highest possible level, which we understood.

"However, we now have him back, and with his experience and enthusiasm, we hope that it will help us push on again.”

He joins a Harborough side currently third in the Pitching In NPL Midlands Division - two points behind league leaders Loughborough Dynamo with two games in-hand.

Crawford's signing completes a busy 24 hours for the club, with Joel Carta also coming back into the squad following a stint on dual-registration with Ashby Ivanhoe in the United Counties Northern Division.

On the attacking midfielder's return, Austin added: “It’s great to have Joel back. We know his qualities and how he fits into our formation, the lads know him well and it was important to get players into the squad that know us and what we are about, to ensure a seamless transition and allow us to keep the momentum we are building.

"We're really delighted today with the business we have done.”
