Guiseley full-back makes Matlock switch
Matlock Town have announced the return of attacking full-back Reece Kendall from Guiseley.
The 25-year-old joined Matlock in June 2019 after his final season with Brighouse Town saw him score five goals in 26 appearances.
His impressive form for the Gladiators during the 2021/22 season earned him an England C call-up against Wales – the only player from the Northern Premier League to do so.
In October of the 2022/23 season, Kendall joined Spennymoor Town for an undisclosed fee and enjoyed a short spell at the club before linking up with former Gladiators boss Paul Phillips at Guiseley the following summer.
He went on to feature 39 times and score 11 goals for the Lions as they secured a respectable mid-table finish in the NPL's top division last term.
Kendall made his second debut for Matlock on Saturday as they picked up their first league win of the season against Workington.
