Guiseley defender leaves to pursue opportunity in the USA
Guiseley have announced that full-back Connor Ferguson has left the club in order to take up an exciting opportunity in America.
Ferguson has joined Portland Timbers 2, who compete in the Pacific Division of the MLS Next Pro league.
He becomes the second member of the Lions squad to head to the United States this season, with Taylor Bowen having also made the move back in October.
Ferguson joined the Lions from Leeds United in the summer after impressing on trial following his release from Elland Road.
The 21-year-old full-back went on to make 26 appearances for the club and started the last seven games prior to his departure.
Ian Richards' side are currently 12th in the Northern Premier League table, eight points adrift of the top five.
