Gomes swaps Bury for Stafford Rangers
Bury have confirmed the departure of Portuguese-born wide player Bebeto Gomes, who has joined NPL West Division side Stafford Rangers for an undisclosed fee.
Gomes, 27, has been a vital part of Bury’s recent revival during his two-year stint at Gigg Lane, in the form of back-to-back league titles.
During his time at the Shakers, Gomes made 92 appearances, scoring eight goals and adding 25 assists.
Despite the departure of Gomes, Anthony Johnson’s side have been bolstered by the arrival of Anthony Dudley, George Glendon and more recently James Melhado as they continue to prepare for life at Step 3.
