Gilboy departs Prescot Cables for opportunity Down Under

Prescot Cables have announced the departure of winger Lewis Gilboy.

The 24-year-old, who has been a mainstay for Ste Daley’s side this season, has left to take up an opportunity in Australia.

He made 24 appearances and scored once, the former FC United of Manchester winger making his final appearance for the club in their Boxing Day to his former club.

Taking to social media, Gilboy said: “Thanks to everyone at the club and for all the messages, good luck for the rest of the season.”

Cables’ first game without Gilboy comes on New Year’s Day, as the Pesky Bulls welcome Warrington Rylands to Valerie Park.
