Former Manchester United forward joins Macclesfield

Mellor began his career in Manchester United's Academy at the age of eight, progressing through the youth system to eventually make his professional debut with the Red Devils in a Europa League fixture against Astana in 2019.

After spending time out on loan at Salford City, the 23-year-old joined Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent deal, and gained further Football League experience out on loan at Rochdale and Sutton United.

The exciting forward made a short-term move to National League outfit Gateshead in August 2024, but will now join Robbie Savage's Silkmen as they look to build on their strong start to the season.

Mellor will go into contention to make his debut for Macclesfield's trip to Stockton Town in the Northern Premier League this weekend.
