Fijian defender leaves Prescot Cables

Prescot Cables have confirmed the departure of Scott Wara.

The 25-year-old centre-back joined the Cables in August from Stalybridge Celtic, and went on to make seven appearances, scoring once in a 2-2 draw at home to Mickleover.

A Fijian international, Wara began his career at Stoke City, before joining Leek Town in 2021.

In June 2023, he made the move to League of Ireland club Finn Harps, featuring seven times before his departure to the Celts.

Regarding Wara's exit from the club, Prescot Cables said: "Due to travel and logistical issues, Fijian International defender Scott Wara has departed the club.

“We sincerely thank Scott for his efforts whilst wearing the Amber and Black of Prescot Cables and wish him good luck in his future career.”
