FC United of Manchester add goalscorer Rawsthorn on loan
FC United of Manchester have confirmed the signing of striker Lewis Rawsthorn on an initial three-month loan deal from last season’s Northern Premier League champions Radcliffe.
Rawsthorn arrived at Radcliffe late in the 2023/24 season from North West Counties side Atherton Laburnum Rovers, where he scored 31 goals and was the division's Player of the Month in August.
At Radcliffe, the 21-year-old scored in his only appearance of the season during a 3-2 loss to Gainsborough Trinity.
Speaking about his new signing, manager Neil Reynolds said: “I’m really excited to have Lewis on board. He’s a really hard worker who has a real eye for goal.”
Current Radcliffe joint-manager Anthony Johnson took to social media platform ‘X’ to wish Rawsthorn well during his time away from the club, saying: “The boy has got the world at his feet. Watch him, he’s the future.”
