FC United land talented Whitby Town forward
FC United of Manchester have completed the signing of Whitby Town forward Donald Chimalilo on a permanent basis.
Chimalilo joined the Seasiders last summer from Ashton United and has scored five times in 27 appearances, his last goal coming against Morpeth Town on Boxing Day.
He leaves as Whitby's second highest scorer in the league this season.
On the move, Chimalilo said: "I'm really looking forward to joining the club. To be honest, playing here has always been the first fixture I looked for when the schedule came out for the league.
"Obviously, I scored here earlier in the season but I still got a good reception from the fans I spoke to after the game, which means a lot coming into a new team.
"God willing, I hope to make a positive impact, excite the fans and help the team achieve promotion."
He joins an FC United side currently third in the Northern Premier League table, four points off top spot, and could make his debut at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels on Saturday.
