Fan favourite Sukar re-joins Whitby Town
Whitby Town have confirmed the return of centre-back Jassem Sukar, following the expiration of his contract at National League North side Darlington.
The 27-year-old spent time in the Sunderland academy before moving to Dundee United in Scotland.
A return to England saw him move to Whitby Town, where he made 106 appearances across four seasons.
Sukar moved to the National League North side in 2022 and made 63 appearances across two seasons for the Quakers.
However, he will now return to familiar surroundings as the Seasiders look to improve upon last season’s mid-table finish.
On returning to his former club, Sukar said: “I’m delighted, it’s good to be back.
“I can’t wait to get back and see some familiar faces. I’m up for the new challenge and I’m excited to get going.”
