Experienced full-back makes Bootle move from rivals
Bootle have confirmed that defender Michael Simpson has joined the club from Widnes.
Simpson, 31, made the move to the DCBL Stadium in November, linking back up with his former manager Michael Ellison, and went on to make three appearances for the Whites.
Prior to this, the experienced right-back was at City of Liverpool under the aforementioned Ellison, but has also featured for the likes of Runcorn Linnets, Skelmersdale United and Warrington Rylands, winning the NPL West Division title with the latter in 2022.
He becomes the second player in as many days to announce his arrival at the Berry Street Garage Stadium, with defender Lewis Earl joining the Bucks from Bury yesterday.
He will go into contention to make his debut for Bootle in their upcoming fixture away at Stafford Rangers in the Northern Premier League on Saturday.
