Dunston add veteran goalkeeper Lowson
Last season’s NPL East Division play-off finalists Dunston have announced the signing of experienced goalkeeper Dan Lowson.
Lowson, 36, has spent the last six seasons playing for Northern Premier League side Morpeth Town, where he memorably scored a late equaliser in a 3-3 draw against Warrington Rylands in April 2023.
He also has National League North experience under his belt, having spent the 2017/18 season at Spennymoor Town. During his time with the Moors, he kept five clean sheets in 24 appearances.
Lowson has also had stints at both Blyth Spartans and Alfreton Town.
Dunston boss Jon McDonald says he is ready to see the experience that Lowson will bring to his side, adding: “Dan is a top goalkeeper. He is a leader and demands high standards from his team-mates.
“We are delighted he has signed.”
