Double addition for Quorn
Quorn have bolstered their defence and attack with the signings of forward Mitch White and goalkeeper Lorcan Morrissey.
22-year-old White has already hit the back of the net for his new side, scoring the second in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Nuneaton Town in their first pre-season friendly.
He most recently lined up for Wellingborough Town, and was part of the side that earned promotion to the NPL Midlands Division last season.
He also spent two years at AFC Rushden & Diamonds after his release from Burton Albion.
White has high ambitions for his new side this season, saying: “I want to be a part of a team that makes a bit of history for this club, whether that’s gaining promotion or qualifying for the first round proper of the FA Cup.
"After spending a few weeks around the club during pre-season, you can see the intent and desire to go one step further and achieve promotion."
Also arriving at the Farley Way Stadium is shot-stopper Lorcan Morrissey, who will dual register with Step 6 side Ingles.
Morrissey spent last season at Ingles, where he was coached by now-assistant manager at Quorn, Shaun Wilkes.
The keeper’s heroics in front of goal, however, is what most Ingles fans will remember him for, after scoring a 95th-minute equaliser to fire his side into the Midland League Division 1 play-offs.
He has also represented Barrow Town and Birstall United in Leicestershire.
“I’m eager to get myself back to this level of football,” Morrissey said.
“I’ve only been here a couple of weeks but I’ve really enjoyed the professionalism of the club and the attitude of the staff and squad.”
