Dolly Blues bolster backline
Lancaster City have signed Charlie Barnes following his departure from Scottish League 2 side Annan Athletic.
The right-back, 21, arrives at the Dolly Blues after gathering 64 appearances for Annan Athletic across league and cup competitions.
Barnes came through the youth ranks at Carlisle United and has also spent time on-loan at Kendal Town.
He becomes the club's second summer signing as manager Mark Fell continues to bring in reinforcements ahead of the new season.
“Charlie is someone we identified as a key summer acquisition," the Lancaster boss said.
"He’s another player we’ve had on our watch list since he left Carlisle. He had great experience in Scottish League 2 last season, and I know from speaking to Gav Skelton at Carlisle what his attributes are.
"He’s another talented young player who will be a great addition and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
