Diamonds defence improves with Dickens arrival
AFC Rushden and Diamonds have announced the signing of Aaron Dickens from Spartan South Midlands side Moulton FC.
The 25-year-old made 34 appearances for Moulton last season, scoring three times as the Magpies narrowly missed out on promotion.
Dickens has been at the club since the start of pre-season, making appearances in friendlies against Hitchin Town and Lutterworth Athletic.
Manager Michael Harriman was impressed with his new centre-back’s performances during pre-season, and was eager to get him signed permanently.
He said: “I’m delighted to get Aaron in with us this year. He can operate on both sides of defence and has the drive to get forward too.”
