Darlaston's top goalscorer returns to club
Darlaston Town have announced that Aaron Bishop has returned to the club.
Bishop departed the Citizens in May to take up an opportunity with Southern Football League side Bromsgrove Sporting, but left before making a competitive appearance.
The striker scored 28 goals in 53 games for Darlaston last season, helping them to promotion into the Northern Premier League for the first time in the club's history.
On Bishop's return to the club, Darlaston Town manager Dean Gill said: "As disappointing as it was to not have Aaron with us in pre-season, we’re equally pleased to welcome him back after the first week of the season.
"We’ve shown restraint and patience the last few months in recruitment, Aaron at his best and happy is a player of high quality and good character who adds huge value to our club/squad/team.
"Bromsgrove were very reluctant to let Aaron go so I’m pleased he has chosen to return and I am sure everyone will welcome him back."
Bishop will be available for selection in this Saturday's FA Cup Preliminary Round fixture against Lye Town at home.
