Danny Whitehead returns to Macclesfield
Macclesfield have confirmed that Danny Whitehead has returned to the club for the 2024/25 season.
The 30-year-old midfielder is well known to Silkmen fans after featuring on loan multiple times throughout his career for the then-Macclesfield Town.
Whitehead was a key part of the squad that secured promotion from the National League in 2018 and subsequently staved off relegation from League Two in the 2019/20 season.
A former Stockport County, Salford City and Port Vale player, he was most recently at National League North side AFC Fylde, making over 82 appearances and scoring six times for the Coasters since joining in 2022.
Whitehead becomes Michael Clegg's third signing of the summer so far, with the club expected to introduce a new striker and goalkeeper to their roster.
