Corby Town seal return for prolific forward

Corby Town have announced that prolific forward Fletcher Toll has joined the club on loan from King's Lynn Town until the end of the season.

Toll joined hometown club King's Lynn last summer, off the back of a remarkable 2024/25 campaign which saw him net 30 goals in 42 league appearances for Corby, scoring three hat-tricks during that time.

However, opportunities with his new club have been limited. Starting the campaign on loan at Stamford, Toll suffered a broken ankle in just his second game for the club and has gone on to make just one senior appearances for the National League North Linnets.

During his first three seasons in senior football, talented frontman Toll scored a remarkable tally in excess of 100 goals.

After recording impressive numbers for both Heacham and Downham Town, Toll joined Step 4 Corby in the summer of 2024 and immediately hit the ground running, scoring 17 goals in his first 20 competitive appearances.

The Steelmen quickly moved to tie the forward down to an improved deal, fighting off interest from elsewhere to secure Toll's signature.

The 21-year-old went on to achieve a remarkable tally of goals for the season which, in the NPL's four divisions, was bettered only by Macclesfield forward Danny Elliott (35).

Toll helped Corby to the NPL Midlands Division play-off final, where they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Worcester City.

He has wasted little time settling back in at Steel Park, scoring the equaliser in Corby's 1-1 draw with Racing Club Warwick on Wednesday night.
