Colls keeper heads to America
Goalkeeper Nico Defreitas-Hansen has left Atherton Collieries to pursue professional football opportunities in the USA.
The Danish goalkeeper arrived at the Skuna Stadium in the summer of 2022, linking up with brother Luca.
Since making his debut away at FC United in August 2022, he has kept 12 clean sheets in 52 appearances.
A club statement said: “Nico departs to pursue professional opportunities in the United States football pyramid, and live closer to his family in Miami.
"Everybody at the club would like to thank Nico for his service and efforts at the Skuna Stadium, and we all wish him the best of luck with his future career.”
