Clitheroe favourite finds new club
Mossley have brought in former Clitheroe goalkeeper Chris Thompson ahead of the new league season.
Thompson was a firm favourite amongst the Blues faithful, having made over 200 appearances for the club across two spells.
Since his return to Shawbridge from Droylsden in January 2020, Thompson has been an ever-present over the past three seasons.
His final game for the club came in a Pitching In NPL West Division play-off semi-final defeat to Workington AFC last April.
Mossley's new league campaign begins with a home game against Prescot Cables this Saturday.
