Cleethorpes secure services of prolific goalscorer

Cleethorpes Town have announced the signing of Adam Haw from Pontefract Collieries.

The 22-year-old striker joined the Colls from Guiseley before the start of the 2023/24 season.

He went on to score 23 goals and register 13 assists as Pontefract finished in 4th place in the NPL East Division.

He links back up with manager Craig Rouse, who departed the Colls to join Cleethorpes in May.

On the signing of Haw, Owls manager Craig Rouse said: "We're delighted to welcome Adam to the football club.

"As soon as we knew we'd be joining the club, it was important to us to bring in a player who epitomises everything we ask from our players.

"He's a player who the directors and supporters will love with his infectious work rate and what he brings will be appreciated by most of his own team mates.

"We feel the best is yet to come with Adam and after his exploits last season, we can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

"His ability to play in various positions across the front line gives us various options, but we know where he is most effective and how to bring out the best in him.

"We're confident he will blend and combine perfectly with his team mates and give us another dimension in what is shaping up to be a very exciting attacking lineup."
