Cleethorpes keep hold of Leon Dawson
Cleethorpes Town have announced left-back Leon Dawson will stay for the 2023-24 season.
Dawson signed for the Owls during the 2021-22 season, and made eight appearances for the club.
In the 2022-23 season, he was able to establish himself as a first team regular, and made 34 appearances in total, as Town finished in midtable.
He said he was looking forward to going again at Cleethorpes for another year.
"Looking forward to another year at Clee under [managers] Tim [Lowe] and Dicko [Liam Dickens]!
“The fans and everyone at the Club have been great with me since day one. We underachieved last season, so we need to put that right."
Joint managers Lowe and Dickens added: "Very happy to have Leon with us for another season. He plays a key role in the changing room.
“[He is] One of the best 1 v 1 defenders we have, with a great engine. Daws also provides the strikers with good quality balls into the box."
