Carlton sign midfielder ahead of key clash
Carlton Town have announced the signing of midfielder Charlie Marzano.
He has signed from Loughborough based club Quorn FC, who play in the Uhl United Counties League in the Midlands.
The 20-year-old has made 35 appearances for the club this season, scoring four goals. He could make his debut for his new club on Tuesday against Grantham Town. They are three points behind Grantham in the battle to avoid relegation.
He is the third signing announced by the club this week. After Owen Betts signed from Basford United, while Alex Troke signed from Ilkeston Town.
Joint Head Coach Mark Harvey told the club website: “Charlie was an integral part of Ilkeston winning the league last season, he’s an energetic box to box midfielder and a quality player who could make a vital difference for our crucial run in.”
