Brighouse Town manager Grant Black resigns
Brighouse Town have announced that Grant Black has resigned from his position as first team manager.
The decision comes in the wake of Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Dunston - a result which leaves the club second-bottom of the NPL East Division, seven points from safety.
Brighouse have confirmed that Black's backroom team have also left, with Derry Robson taking charge of first team affairs ahead of Saturday's trip to Pontefract Collieries.
Black first took charge in May 2024, and although they finished in the relegation zone during his only full season in charge, the resignation of clubs elsewhere saw Town earn a reprieve.
Despite maintaining their Step 4 status, the club have only won seven of their 32 league games so far this term and remain in a perilous position heading into their remaining games.
A club statement read: "Following the conclusion of last night's game, Grant Black and his management team have all resigned from their positions.
"We thank them for their hard work and contributions, and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours."
