Brighouse defender makes Stocksbridge switch
Stocksbridge Park Steels have announced the signing of Alex Phillipson from Brighouse Town.
The 23-year-old centre-back joined Town in June 2023 and has since made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring three times.
A former Chesterfield and Leeds United Academy player, he joined Matlock Town in 2017 and made his debut for the Gladiators at the age of 16.
In July 2022, he made the move to Malta to ply his trade with Lija Athletic, before returning to the UK to link up with Ossett United.
Phillipson will go into contention to make his debut for Steels when they face Hebburn Town at home on Saturday in the Pitching In NPL East Division.
