Bridlington boosted by veteran midfielder's arrival
Bridlington Town have announced the signing of centre midfielder Simon Heslop.
The 37-year-old arrives with a wealth of experience, having made over 100 appearances in both League 2 and the National League for clubs such as Oxford United, York City and Mansfield Town.
He also spent a season in League 1, making 27 appearances for Stevenage in the 2013/14 season.
The well-travelled midfielder spent last season playing for fellow NPL East side Liversedge, where he made 34 appearances, scoring once.
He arrives to bolster Bridglington’s midfield options, and provide experience to the side that aims to improve on their 18th-place finish last season.
