Bradford Park Avenue make two exciting new additions

Bradford Park Avenue have bolstered their relegation-threatened squad, with the arrival of defender Jamie Sharman and midfielder Bradley Williams.

The experienced Sharman, who was most recently at Matlock Town, has joined the club on a deal until the end of the season.

Sharman started his career with Chesterfield and was named as their Academy Player of the Year in 2018/19, graduating that season to the first team.

He enjoyed loan spells with Dover Athletic, Kidderminster Harriers and Blyth Spartans, while also making 12 National League appearances for Chesterfield's first team.

Jamie was released by the Spireites in the summer of 2021 and went on to join Matlock, making a total of 82 appearances in all competitions for the Gladiators.

He was released by the club last week, having made 12 appearances during the current campaign.

Also making the move to the Horsfall Community Stadium is Harrogate midfielder Williams, who was a product of the club's academy.

He made his first team debut for the League Two outfit in the EFL Trophy in October 2021, before going on to make his league debut for the Sulphurites 14 months later.

Williams enjoyed a brief spell on loan at National League North side Darlington earlier this season, featuring four times for the Quakers.

The pair made their first starts for Avenue in Monday night's 3-1 home defeat to Marine.

That result means they remain firmly fixed in the Northern Premier League relegation zone, eight points from safety.
