Blyth Spartans welcome new striker

Blyth Spartans have announced the signing of Joseph Thompson from NPL East Division side Heaton Stannington.

The forward joined the Stan in September from Northern Football League outfit Bedlington Terriers, going on to make 19 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals.

Thompson will go into contention to make his debut for the Spartans in their Tuesday night fixture against Ashton United in the Northern Premier League.
