Blyth Spartans welcome Bishop Auckland winger
Blyth Spartans have announced the signing of Dean Briggs from Bishop Auckland.
The 28-year-old joined the Bishops prior to the start of the 2024/25 season from Hebburn Town, and went on to make nine appearances, scoring one goal.
During his time at the Hornets, he featured 32 times and scored 11 times as they secured promotion into the NPL Premier Division.
Briggs has also previously played for the likes of Gateshead and Consett, and has also enjoyed time in Australia with Peninsula Power and Holland Park Hawks.
On signing for Blyth Spartans, Briggs said: “As soon as I heard Micky [Michael Connor] was interested it was a no-brainer. Obviously Blyth are a big club and I'm just very excited to get going.”
He will go straight into contention to make his debut in tonight's fixture against FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League.
