Ben Tomlinson returns to Worksop Town
Worksop Town have announced the signing of Ben Tomlinson from Frickley Athletic.
Tomlinson came through Worksop’s Under-19s side before featuring in the first team. Overall, the striker made 108 appearances for the Tigers, scoring 46 goals.
The 31-year-old has since featured in Football League Two with Macclesfield Town, Barnet and Carlisle United, while also enjoying stints at Alfreton Town, Lincoln City and FC Halifax Town.
The forward began this pre-season with Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Gainsborough Trinity before signing for Frickley at the commencement of the 2020/21 campaign, netting on the Blues’ last league game before lockdown.
Worksop currently sit sixth in the S/East table, recording four wins, two draws and one loss.
