Bamber Bridge sign familiar midfielder
Midfielder Michael Potts has joined Bamber Bridge following his departure from fellow Northern Premier League side FC United of Manchester.
Potts has opted to call time on his Reds career and move onto pastures new, having first joined FC United in October 2018.
During his four-and-a-half years at the club, Potts made 147 competition appearances and established himself as a key part of their first team squad.
He is no stranger to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, having previously featured for the Brig between 2016-18
Potts has also enjoyed spells at the likes of York City, Guiseley and AFC Fylde, amongst others, throughout his career.
“I’m really pleased to be re-joining Brig again and have some fond memories of the club from my first spell here," he said.
"It’s clear to see what a brilliant job Milly [manager Jamie Milligan] has done over the past couple of years, and the standard of football is excellent.
“For the club to make the play-off final last season in a really competitive league is some achievement, but we have to be ambitious and go that one step further this season.
"I know Milly and the management team won’t let those expectations and standards change."
