Bamber Bridge bolster squad with three new signings

Bamber Bridge have strengthened their side with three new additions, including two strikers.

Attacker Max Cane, 24, has joined the Brig from Darwen. He scored 11 goals in 12 games for the club after arriving from FC United of Manchester midway through last season.

He made 23 appearances at Broadhurst Park earlier in the campaign, prior to linking up with Darwen.

Young striker Bailey Thompson has also bolstered their forward line, making the move from Pontefract Collieries.

He scored 13 times in 30 appearances for the NPL East Division side, helping them to a play-off finish last term.

The 22-year-old started his career at Tranmere Rovers and has also had spells at Guiseley and Hyde United.

Completing the trio of new recruits is Sidi Sanogo Fofana, who has joined the beaten 2022/23 play-off finalists from Atherton Collieries.

The 24-year-old Spaniard made 29 Northern Premier League appearances last season, and previously enjoyed a short spell on loan at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium back in 2019.
