Ashton United land three new forwards
Ashton United have confirmed three more signings, with manager Steve Cunningham looking to bolster his frontline.
Teenage forward Jack Massey joins the club from League Two side Accrington Stanley.
Coming through Accrington’s academy, he has previously made 22 loan appearances across the Northern Premier League divisions for Stafford Rangers and Clitheroe, scoring eight times.
Experienced frontman Tom Denton has also linked up with the Robins from fellow NPL side Guiseley, where he scored 10 goals in 36 appearances during the 2023/24 season.
Standing at 6’7, Denton has plenty of experience in the National League and National League North across his 18-year-career, making over 200 combined appearances and scoring 67 goals in Steps 1 and 2.
The latest player through the door at the club is a familiar one, with Darius Osei returning to Hurst Cross.
The 29-year-old spent a brief time on loan at Ashton from South Shields during the 2022/23 season, scoring five goals in eight appearances.
Since then, the former Oldham Athletic man has turned out for Marine and, most recently, Stalybridge Celtic, where he scored five goals in 19 appearances - including two in his first two starts.
