Ashton United defender makes Atherton loan switch

Bjork, 19, is a Blackpool Academy graduate who made the move to NWCFL side Burscough upon his exit from Bloomfield Road in 2023.

The talented full-back, who picked up the prestigious Jimmy Arfield Award during his time at the Seasiders, joined Glossop North End in November last year, before subsequently moving to the Northern Premier League with Ashton.

The youngster made 13 appearances for the Robins last season, and will now look to earn further senior level experience with Michael Clegg's Colls.

Bjork will go into contention to make his debut for the club in their next fixture at home to Kidsgrove Athletic this Saturday.
