Armitage makes Pitmen return
Pitching In NPL West Division basement side Hednesford Town have signed left-side defender Tom Armitage.
Armitage returns to his former club on dual-registration, having spent the early parts of the season in the Midland Football League with Hinckley AFC.
His time at Hinckley was disrupted by hamstring and ankle problems, limiting him to just eight appearances.
Now back to full fitness, he will step two levels up the football pyramid to help a Hednesford side looking to end their early-season woes. The Pitman are two points adrift at the bottom of the division, picking up just seven points from their opening 13 matches.
They have also conceded 26 goals in the league so far - more than any other team in the NPL West Division.
Hednesford are in action away at Avro on Saturday - with Armitage in contention to feature in that match.
