Keast Quits Quorn Post

First manager to go in 2011/12 season

Quorn are on the look-out for a new manager after Dougie Keast resigned following the club's winless start to 2011/12.

In a statement released on the club's website, it was announced that Keast quit following the side's defeat to Grantham Town.

The statement read, "Dougie and Assistant Mick Cotter announced their decision to the players immediately after the game, no decision on the process of appointing a new Manager has been taken at this time.

"Denis Moran, the Reserve Team Manager has agreed to take the side for the game against Shepshed on Monday in the interim and further details will be announced after that.

"The Club wish to place on record our thanks to both Doug and Mick for their efforts over the last two years, although the team has struggled in the league, the management along with the team enjoyed success last season when winning the Westerby Cup for the first time in the Clubs history."
