Hebburn Town coaching staff sign new deals

Hebburn Town have announced that first-team manager Daniel Moore and members of his backroom staff have extended their stay at the club until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Moore joined the club from fellow NPL side Shildon ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. Under his management, the Hornets currently sit in a play-off spot and have also reached the Durham Challenge Cup, which will be played next month.

Coaches Mark Hudson, Simon Harris and Carl Morris have also extended their tenure at the Tyne and Wear based outfit.

On the contract extensions, Hebburn Town Chief Executive Stephen Rutherford said: "Both parties are delighted to get this agreement over the line.

"When Bobby [Daniel Moore] was first interviewed for the job he shared he was in it for the long haul.

"What we have seen so far has been a credit to Bobby and his team, they’ve had a real positive impact around the whole club and we are excited about working with them further over the coming years.

"The club are ambitious and we believe Bobby, Mark, Simon and Carl are the team to help achieve those ambitions.

"We feel that committing to the coaching team demonstrates loyalty and also sends a strong message to players that want to be part of our journey.

"“We look forward to what the future brings both on and off the field as we strive towards our strategic objectives, and we hope members and supporters continue to show their exceptional support to the management team and club."

Club Chairman Vin Pearson added: "I’m over the moon Bobby and his staff have agreed to these deals.

"They are great people who have brought such a good vibe to the football club.

"They have a strong work ethic and have set some high standards that have not just helped the team progress, but also created an ethos across the full club that is inclusive and supportive.

"I’m excited about the future here with these lads at the helm."
