Blues crack the West Division
The Pitching Northern Premier League congratulate Leek Town on Winning the West Division
A 50th minute winner, along with a draw in Merseyside between nearest challengers Prescot Cables and Runcorn Linnets, sees Leek Town lift the West Division title this afternoon.
With Rob Stevenson, Daniel Trickett-Smith and Thomas Carr all currently sat in the Top 10 of the Golden Boot Race, and a change in manager in August with long serving manager and club legend Neil Baker standing down for Josh Brehaut, the club took the top spot in early December but never looked back with the challenging pack swapping 2nd place for numerous Top 2 clash wins being the crucial decider
The season was capped off with a run to the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, and the 1997 League Champions will return back to Step 3 for the First time in 15 seasons.
