Trio of signings for Stafford Rangers

Stafford Rangers have bolstered their front-line with the signings of Aaron Opoku following his departure from Leek Town, and Dan Cockerline from Warrington Rylands.

They’ve also improved their backline ahead of the new season with Oliver Jepson arriving from Bury FC.

Opoku, 28, spent the last two seasons at Leek Town, making 61 appearances and scoring 16 goals, including 11 last season as the Blues won promotion from the NPL East.

Dan Cockerline arrives at the Boro from last season’s NPL Premier play-off semi-finalists Warrington Rylands, where he made 16 appearances in the latter half of the season following his departure from Bury FC.

Also arriving from Bury is no-nonsense centre-back Oliver Jepson.

Before joining the Shakers midway through the 2023/24 season, Jepson made 52 appearances for NPL West side Kidsgrove Athletic in just over two seasons.

All three will be available for their first pre-season game against Stafford Town on July 9.
